This position involves use of good basic knowledge on components and materials used in electronics manufacturing industry to assign items into appropriate categories.
It needs the ability to understand item description, component product sheets / drawings, etc to identify product categories (commodity code) accurately and promptly.
Web resources and other available information needs to be used map source supplier names to a standardized clean name.
The candidate should have basic working knowledge / learn quickly tools like MS access to process massive amounts of item information.
As and when required this position involves working with IT, other support teams, and end users to resolve issues / make enhancements.
