Job Description
Optics Simulation:
Perform optics simulation using TracePro
Propose design options considering application beam requirements, space constraints & manufacturability
Design optics for LED lighting:
Design of new optic (lens / reflectors /refractors) for variety of luminaires
Work with cross team engineers and suppliers for optics development
Perform iterations / modifications the design with quick turnaround time
Work with internal / external test labs for Photometry testing
Identify Innovation opportunities:
Technology watch on latest trends in optics, LED technologies
Develop innovative solutions for low cost / smaller size optics
Required Skills:
Knowledge of lighting fundamental & luminaries
Understanding of LED lights
Knowledge of non-imaging optics/ concept of secondary lens, reflectors
Knowledge of lighting application, polar plots, photometry
Familiar or hands on of Ray tracing software’s like TracePro, Light Tools, etc
Basic understanding of Dialux, AGI 32 & AutoCAD
