Job Description
Responsibilities:
Ensure production and test processes /deliverables are successful
Follow appropriate change/release practices
Distinguish between urgent client issues vs non-urgent issues
Address urgent client requests immediately
Work in a team environment as well as independently
Perform upgrade and maintenance testing
Monitor email for client request and\or data to be processed
Monitor jobs on the mainframe to avoid contention with other jobs, determine and adjust jobs as needed
Participate in disaster recovery
Required Skills:
Strong Mainframe background
Strong COBOL background
Strong JCL background
Experience with Syncsort or comparable Sort product
Experience with DB2
Experience with SPUFI or comparable SQL tool
Ability to analyse and resolve job abends
SAS knowledge is a plus
Previous computer operation experience is a plus
