Job Description

General Summary:

As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enables the development of cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer  Science, or related field.

Responsibilities:

Applies Systems knowledge to assist and support the research, design, development, simulation, and/or validation of systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met.

Supports the functional analysis that drive requirements and specifications and define and align  standards for hardware and software.

Assists with the analysis and development of system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.

Collaborates with team members to complete project work, including implementing and testing features and verifying the accuracy of systems.

Develops new and innovative ideas or ways to solve problems.

Assists in the triage of problems at the system level to determine root cause and presenting results of testing and debugging to team members.

Level of Responsibility:

Works under supervision.

Decision-making affects direct area of work and/or work group.

Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information.

Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.

Preferred Skills:

1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
