Job Description
Position Summary: We are seeking an “Associate Member of Technical Staff” who is an experienced software engineer preferably in public and private cloud environments to join our platform zone in Lavelle Road Office in Bangalore

Platform Services: The Platform Services within Athena are primarily responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining the core foundational components that are required by all other development teams within Athena to successfully build their products.

Team: Front-End-Framework is an integral part of the Platform Services. This team in Bangalore focuses on the following key areas.

Develop tools that will accelerate front-end development and provide a consistent and unified user experience.
Provide guidance to utilize the tools and the patterns for the Athena ecosystem.
Enhance client-side performance by modernizing and standardizing front-end development.
Help the engineering team to build, release and maintain the micro front end by providing the necessary tools.
As part of this role, you will get an opportunity to collaborate with; and influence the larger developer community in Athena.

Responsibilities:
Contribute to accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications to the appropriate detail.
Deliver customer value in the form of high-quality software components and services in adherence with RPR policies on Security, performance, longevity, and Integration testing
Understand and follow coding conventions, architectures, and best practices
Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes
Adhere to DOD (story definition of done) as part of the sprint, including unit tests, functional testing, code reviews, no regressions, bug fixes, and documentation, and adhere to best coding practices.
Contributions to the Team

Learn the domain knowledge for the area of assignment.

Take ownership of what the team builds after the release; consider customer adoption as success criteria.
Contribute to agile ceremonies to improve team performance.
Volunteer for work in the backlog and commit to quality delivery; Coordinate efforts across the team to ensure completion and effectiveness.
Participate and contribute to scrum meetings i.e. daily stand-up, sprint planning, readouts, and retrospectives
Drive self-organization; help determine how the team functions in collaboration with your peers.
Cross-functional Coordination and Communication

Work collaboratively across the Technology and Product organizations to ensure alignment toward business goals.
Builds strong relationships with cross-functional team members.

Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in computer science
Knowledge or experience of at least one modern programming language such as Node.js, React.js, C#, C++, Perl, Java, Python, and javascript/jQuery
Knowledge of object-oriented programing, relational database technologies, distributed computing tech (Hadoop, spark), RESTful API, WebUI (HTML 5), and Modern JS frameworks
Familiarity and knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
Experience working with AWS or any other cloud provider with knowledge in services like lambda, API Gateway, S3, Cloudfront, and DynamoDB or similar is a plus
Understanding of iOS and Android environments

Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, while producing quality code
Ability to work collaboratively on a cross-functional team with a wide range of experience levels
Ability to write code that is technically sound, performant, scalable, and readable
Ability to collaborate with business owners to understand and refine business requirements
Ability and willingness to demonstrate ownership of an area of Athena’s technology
