Job Description
As a Java developer & devops person, you will apply your development & devops skills in design,development,support of Transparent Cloud Tiering (TCT) component within IBM Spectrum Scale.
This feature enable customers to tier cold archive candidate data from GPFS file system to cloud object storage(s) transparently.
TCT also supports cloud data sharing.
We have ~20+ customers who are actively using this technology in their production environment.
In your job, you will be handling the incoming customer issues (which includes triaging the traces/logs, working with Scale team for any file system related collaboration, developing a solution), working on PSIRT (security) fixes mainly, as well as maintaing the complete CI/CD pipeline of this feature.
You will have opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams, share ideas and interface with support team to resolve customer requests. Your success will be measured by the quality of your contributions and how you leverage your technical expertise your eye on innovation and improving the overall experience of our customers.
Debug the incoming customer issues by analyzing TCT & Scale debug data (traces, logs etc)
Develop any fixes as well as handling PSIRT fixes (security vulnerability fixes)
Manage the CI/CD pipeline of TCT
Required Skills:
2-3 yrs in Core Java
CI/CD Knowledge such as Jenkins
Experience with common scripting languages (bash, python, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, etc.) is a plus
Knowledge in debugging and troubleshooting on Linux environment. Excellent
communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written,
Technical Skills:
C/C++ knowledge
File system knowledge, Understanding of Storage technology
