Job Description

Reviewing business requirements and associated design documentation.

Attending appropriate workshops and meetings to ensure a sound understanding of developments prior to testing.

Developing test plans, approach, details and scripts.

Running manual tests on software ensuring it conforms to design and set standards.

Responsibilities:

Work on automating the manual tests.

Raising and resolving any issues / faults identified.

Manage risk and take contingency action where necessary.

Liaise with the product test manager and test stakeholders to plan and prioritise tasks in a timely and transparent manner, ensuring deadlines are met

Assist in the development and maintenance of automated tests

Business competencies

Education and experience•Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

3-6 years of QA/testing experience in a software development organization, creating test plans, test reports and performing hands-on execution

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Good understanding of relational databases, SQL, stored procedures and other data manipulation technologies.

Understanding and ability to apply software Testing techniques (equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, path analysis etc) is essential.

Good understanding of various stages of testing and how different techniques are used.

Experience in interpreting the results of both manual and automated test cases.

Experience working with global teams (US/UK)

Background in API testing is desirable

Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum/Sprint) is desirable
