Job Description
Contribute on QA strategy and provide scalable quality solutions/implementation based on industry best practices for given business problem.
Work within a globally distributed teams for testing and automation deliveries for Middle Office applications.
Work with business analysts and Traders to clarify requirements and to solicit feedback on the system. In addition, the candidate should be a self starter who can drive to clarify designs and requirements if they are insufficiently detailed.
Role includes writing and maintaining relevant Component and integration tests ensuring quality and minimise UAT/Prod issues.
Follow the agile development/execution methodology using scrums/sprints etc.
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards.
Own and be accountable on major release tasks and make sure to have E2E accountability.
Contribute in design options on QA strategy and provide scalable quality solutions/implementation based on industry best practices for given business problem
Analyze Defects & take part in defect analysis.
Produce documented & tested software for delivery to production
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree
Good Java Scripting, Basic PL/SQL & UNIX Commands knowledge
Practical experience using source control systems including branching and merging
Clear oral and written communication skills
Financial industry experience
self driven, motivated and enthusiastic about building back-office applications
Experience of Automation test framework development
Agile development
